India's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki has reported a whooping double digital growth of 14.6% in domestic sales.This is the due to the overwhelming response from the customers for their two new cars. One is the Baleno and the other is Vitara Brezza. These car are direct competition to the i20 and Ecosport.
If you want to own either one of these car,you need to wait for six months.Yes,that's correct. Half an year is the current waiting period for both the cars. "The company ended 2015-16 with its highest ever sales of 1429248 units, a growth of 10.6%. This comprises highest ever domestic sales of 1305351 units and 123897 units of exports. For the fourth year in a row, the top four best-selling models in India are from Maruti Suzuki: Alto, Dzire, Swift and WagonR", Maruti said in a statement.
The Baleno,is the bestseller of the premium hatchback segment . The vehicle was trailing behind Hyundai Elite i20 for the first three months of 2016. However, the Baleno fought back in April when the company sold 9,562 units of it, while Hyundai Elite i20 trailed with 9,400 units sold.The Brezza on other hand clocked 7,832 units in April against 3,779 units of EcoSport.
Though,the company has promised to reduce the waiting period of both the cars in upcoming months and also in talk with their vendors to ramp up the production,it is highly difficult to ramp up the production when the production plant runs almost to its full capacity.But who knows, we are talking about Maruti Suzuki here. Anything is possible in their turf.
