All India Football Federation majorly restructures in India into a three tier system from the 2017/18 season. The ISL concept is taken from the English premier League( EPL), with some changes. English Premier League is the premier division in England followed by The Championship (Level-2), League One (Level-3) and League Two (Level-4).
Here is how the final footballing calendar will look like from the 2018/19:
August : Champions Cup
September to March : ISL, League 1 and League 2.
November to February : Women's League
April - May : Super Cup
Till the last season, there is only one league in India and that is 'Indian Super League'. From next season, there is three tier divisions system. The India Super league will be India's top tier league, with the I-League now re-branded to 'League-1', while the second division I-league will be called 'League-2'. But the sad part is ISL will not have any relegation while League 1 and League 2 will have relegation and promotion.
