Volkswagen Ameo is equipped with cruise control. First in class.

Volkswagen Emission scandal costed the company $6.9 billion.That resulted in the company posting its first quarterly loss for 15 years of $2.8 billion in late October.The group has done major re-alignment of the company and said it was making good progress with that.They need to pull some miracle to gain the trust of the customers. In India, they are doing it with 'Ameo'. Volkswagen Ameo has some exotic and never seen feature in its class.



The Ameo compact sedan is offered in three variants:


  1. Trendline
  2. Comfortline
  3. Highline
It comes with 1.2 litre petrol producing 74bhp and 110Nm torque as well as a 1.5 litre four cylinder diesel engine,producing 89bhp and 230Nm of torque. Don't worry about the "Beat Device" in the new vehicle.

























According to car maker,Volkswagen Ameo has been especially created for the Indian market and will offer best-in-class safety features,build quality and an awesome driving experience. Developed at the company manufacturing faculty in Chakan, Maharashtra, it features the highest percentage of localisation,compared to other Volkswagen cars.Though last to enter the compact sedan segment,it will definitely put up a fight with already existing Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire,Ford Figo Aspire,Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent.






It has Cruise control(1st in segment) feature, ABS(Standard),Reverse Parking Camera and sensor, Rear AC Vent, Automatic Climate Control, Opening and Closing of windows with key remote(1st in segment),Touch Screen Infotainment System, Ipod Connectivity and Mirror link technology with 4 Speakers and function control steering wheel and voice command.





Launch Date and Pricing:

Pre-booking for Ameo is started with token amount of Rs.10000. The car is expected to hit the Indian road by June or July of 2016. The pricing is the key factor to compete with Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Hyundai, etc,. It is expected to be priced from Rs. 6 Lakhs to Rs. 10 Lakhs. With all this amazing features in stock Volkswagen is expecting a peek in its sale. Let us wait and hope the German car makers will pull a miracle.
