WhatsApp has launched it's desktop and it's really good.

Finally, one of the most downloaded apps for mobile has sailed into computers. Whatsapp, with more than 1 billion active users has a plan to further increases it's user base. It is by deploying a desktop application for both Windows and Mac users.

The new desktop app is available for Windows 8+ and Mac OS 10.9+ and is synced with WhatsApp on your mobile device. Because the app runs natively on your desktop, you'll have support for native desktop notifications, better keyboard shortcuts, and more.

To download the app, visit https://www.whatsapp.com/download from your desktop browser. Then, open the app and scan the QR code using the WhatsApp app on your phone (look for WhatsApp Web menu under Settings).
The desktop app has had this paper clip icon for a while, but you could only pack andsend video clips or photos from the local gallery. But now it let you attach office documents or personal document format files as well. WhatsApp has been introducing plenty of changes in the last few weeks, featuring text formatting, separate desktop app, and plenty of under-the-hood improvements - it's high time it catches up with its less popular, but more feature-rich brethren in the messaging scene, too.
